Cardiff Met RFC, Old Penarthians RFC under 8s and Pontyclun JFC under 14s are now the proud owners of brand new team kits thanks to our commitment to supporting grassroot clubs across South Wales.

We’ve been working with the Cardiff Met RFC senior 1st team, who finished sixth in the WRU Championship this season and play their home matches at Cyncoed Campus, since 2013 as a continual annual sponsor, while Old Penarthians RFC under 8s and Pontyclun JFC under 14s sponsorship deals are brand new partnerships.

Gareth Oram, Operations Manager for The Maltings, said: “It’s great to continue supporting Cardiff Met RFC and we’ll cheer them on for as long as we can.

We are delighted to have struck up new relationships with both the Old Penarthians and Pontyclun Junior teams and look forward to working with them much more in the future.”

Dr Neil Hennessy, CEO, Cardiff Met RFC, said: “The Club is very grateful for the support that The Maltings continues to provide. We look forward to building on what has already become a successful and rewarding partnership.” Owen Edwards, joint coach at Pontyclun JFC under 14s, said: “Like most junior football teams we depend on the generosity and support of the community as a whole, and without doubt The Maltings' sponsorship of our under 14's side is hugely beneficial. The Maltings' support, as our main shirt sponsor has allowed us to fully kit the boys for two seasons. The boys are extremely appreciative of, what they call, the best kit they've had. It certainly draws some envious glances!”

The Maltings run a Community Money Box campaign which offers funding to clubs, groups and teams across South Wales. To apply for funding, which is allocated on a quarterly basis please email
